Fossil Club Meeting

Meeting is moved to the third Saturday of the month
instead of the second for March only, due to Spring Break.
Speaker: Walter W. Stein
"Hunting Dinosaurs in the Badlands"
Walter fell in love with paleontology at the age of six and hasn't looked back. Since 1996, he has had the pleasure of discovering, excavating or preparing over 25 scientifically significant dinosaur skeletons, numerous marine reptiles and many other interesting finds. Walter has a BS degree in geology from Appalachian state university. He is the former curator of the rocky mountain dinosaur resource center, the chairman of the AAPS journal of paleontological sciences and now owns his own private paleontological company called Paleo Adventures. He is also the author of the book, "The Top 256 Rules of Paleontology".

Directions to Edison State College

From U.S.41 southbound turn left on Airport Road in Punta Gorda. Continue about two miles to the campus entrance.

From U.S.41 northbound turn right on Taylor Road. Continue several miles to Airport Road. Turn Right on Airport Road to the campus entrance.

From I-75 northbound exit at Exit 161. Go west to Taylor Road then Right on Taylor and then about two miles to Airport Road. Right on Airport Road to the campus entrance.

From I-75 southbound exit at Exit 164. West on Hwy 17 to first traffic light. Turn right and immediately right again on Marion. Proceed east on Marion to Florida Street. Right on Florida Street under the overpass and past the athletic fields to the rear entrance of the campus.

Each of the above routes is marked by signs directing you to EDISON STATE COLLEGE.
